Seniors Coach – Jason Chants

We welcome back Cam Baker & Stu Vimpany to “The Nest” for the 2022 season.
Cam returns to the club having previously held assistant coaching roles in 2017 & 2018 and spending his most recent years as an assistant coach at Surfers Paradise AFC Reserves in the QAFL.

Stu returns to the club where in 2013 he brought success as the senior coach, securing the club its first senior premiership. More recently he held an assistant coaching role at Springwood AFC in Division 1.
This finalises our senior coaching panel for 2022. We are excited with these additions and can’t wait to see them go to work with our young group.

Reserves Coaches
With our senior coaching panel locked in for the 2022 season we now turn our attention to locking in the Reserves Coaches.

After two COVID effected seasons in charge, the club is excited to re-appoint Dougie King as our 2022 Reserves Playing Coach.
A premiership player, club captain and now life member, Dougie will also end this season holding the record for the most games played for the club.
With great leadership skills and respected highly in the football community, Dougie will continue to be a great leader of our young group as they develop and learn what is required to play to their best ability.
Congratulations Dougie!
(Dougie King)
Alongside Dougie we welcome Jeremy “Jezza” McNeil back to the club as an Assistant Reserves Coach in 2022.
Jezza is stoked to be back at the club he played for from 2017 to 2019. His senior CV started back in 2003 where he played in the QAFL for Redlands AFC followed by a 2 year stint at Wynnum AFC in the Division 1 SQAFL competition. In 2006 he played in the WRFL for Albion in Victoria.
Jezza has a real passion for football and the Coomera AFC and when asked if he would be keen to return and fill this role he jumped at it. He is a great teacher of the game and knows the value of bringing younger players through the system to become valued players not only on but off the field.
Welcome Back Jezza!
(Jeremy “Jezza” McNeil)
